BARN CONVERSION WET

Description

A historic pillar barn is carefully transformed into a ‘house within a house’, preserving the sensual quality of the existing space while allowing it to be experienced in a new way.

Without altering the outer shell, a space is created between the old structure and the new timber construction that is neither entirely inside nor outside, creating a special atmospheric depth through light, material and spatial proportions.
