Description
A two-family house and an office building
Construction of a two-family house and an office building, completed 2013–2015, scope of work: Phases 1–9
“Architecture is not merely a question of technology and aesthetics, but a framework for a way of life – ideally a sensible one.” (Bernard Rudofsky, Austrian-American architect)
In this project, the spatial integration of living and working provides the framework for a sustainable and contemporary way of life. Short distances reduce traffic, CO₂ emissions and costs. The elimination of commuting time creates more time for family, hobbies and leisure. Work and private life can be combined more flexibly and harmoniously, whilst the shared use of infrastructure and open spaces enables resource-efficient and economical operation.
