Description

spado architects was awarded twice with the international BIG SEE Architecture Award 2023. Awarded in the category "Government Buildings" was the community center Techelsberg am Wörthersee (together with architect DI Ernst Roth). The official award ceremony took place during the BIG Architecture Festival on May 19, 2023 in Ljubljana.

The BIG SEE Awards - SEE stands for South East Europe - which have been presented since 2018, honor exceptional design solutions in the fields of architecture, interior design, product design, wood, tourism and fashion. They are awarded by the Slovenian NGO Zavod BIG, which aims to promote the creative industries in Southeast Europe. The projects are evaluated based on the following criteria: Innovation, Intelligent Design & Originality; Sustainability & Environmental Sustainability; Cultural & Social Awareness; and Functionality & Achievement of Set Goals.
